Shipping policy

Why do you charge for shipping?  Amazon is free...

Well...shipping costs money.  Sometimes a lot of money.  And one of the goals we have as a company, is to not charge crazy high prices for our products so that more people can access them.  So we don't know how good you are at reading between the lines, but we're not Amazon, and we can't just suck up the shipping costs.

With so much online shopping these days, free shipping is often an option, particularly for larger orders.  For small businesses, that's not realistic.  Shipping often costs more than any profit on our products, and it doesn't make sense to take a loss on everything we sell, right?  We knew you'd understand. So yeah...you gotta pay for shipping. But you're also helping to put food on our table and not helping some rich CEO get even richer.  So maybe the shipping is worth it 😉

That said, we may offer free shipping promotions from time to time because we know that money is tight.

Anyhoo...on to the actual shipping policy...

We are not liable for any damage or loss of product during shipping. 

Our Expedited shipping fees include tracked and insured shipping.  We use various shipping services (FedEx Ground, UPS, Canpar, Canada Post) depending on fees and delivery times. While the goal is to always get your order to you as quickly as possible and for the best price, delays or parcel issues with the shipping service are beyond our control.  Shipping delays are frequent and common during the holiday season (November to December), in addition to delays due to unforeseen circumstances. Please give yourself enough time to place your order to account for any delays.

Delivery times within Ontario can range from 1 to 10 business days without delays and up to 20 business days across Canada. If you are concerned about the location of your package, please refer to your tracking number.  

We also offer reduced-rate shipping via Canada Post Lettermail.  Lettermail shipping does not offer a trackable option.  We are not responsible for lost or delayed packages for Lettermail shipments. Read that one again, friends - if your order doesn't arrive, there's nothing we can do about it.  Once your package has left our studio, we have no information on its whereabouts and cannot provide you with any updates. If you are concerned about the timing of your order, please select Expedited Shipping at checkout.  We have no control (read ZERO control) over how long your package takes via Lettermail and recommend Expedited shipping for all orders.  Please use Lettermail shipping at your own risk.

 

US Shipping

Standard letter mail and expedited shipping rates are available and are calculated per order based on delivery distance and the weight/dimensions of your shipment. The same disclaimers apply as above. We always recommend selecting a tracked shipping option at checkout, and not doing so is at your own risk.

We are not responsible for any duties, taxes, or tariffs incurred when your order moves across international borders. You are responsible for any fees, taxes, or other charges due on delivery.

 

Wholesale Orders

Wholesale orders are excluded from flat rate and any promotional free shipping policies. Actual shipping charges will apply.

 

Shipping Overpayment

If the dimensions of your shipment are lower than the calculated shipment via checkout, shipping charges may be slightly higher than the actual postage cost on your shipment. Overpayments greater than $5 CAD will be refunded to your order method of payment. While we try our best to estimate shipping costs, we aim to minimize dimensions when packing. If your shipping costs are higher than the amount paid at checkout, you will not be charged unless that amount is significant ($5 CAD or higher), and we will contact you to discuss.
